Dr Amirala Khalessi is a specialist Upper Gastrointestinal surgeon. His clinical interests include the surgical management of upper gastrointestinal disease, in particular hepato-pancreato-biliary conditions, with an emphasis on using minimally invasive techniques.
Dr Khalessi obtained his medical degree at New Zealand’s University of Otago. He completed his residency and surgical training in Sydney and was awarded the fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery. His post-fellowship training in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery, which spanned over three years, was through Bankstown, Royal Prince Alfred and Prince of Wales Hospitals in Sydney.
